Full Home Renovation
The Whitaker family bought a 1960s home with good bones and dated everything else. Instead of renovating room by room over several years, they chose one complete project.
We redrew the ground floor, rebuilt the kitchen and both bathrooms and replaced every floor in the house.
The Challenge
Small closed rooms, old wiring, worn carpet and a steep, dark staircase made the house feel tired. The kitchen was at the front of the house, far from the backyard where the family wanted to spend time.
The Approach
With a whole house to renovate, a clear plan was everything:
Design the full layout first, including the kitchen move to the back of the house.
Replace wiring, plumbing and insulation while the walls were open.
Finish room by room, starting with the kitchen and bathrooms so the house became livable sooner.
Materials and Details
A new staircase with oak treads and a slim metal railing became the centerpiece of the entrance. Engineered wood flooring runs through every level, and a calm palette of white walls, warm wood and black hardware ties all the rooms together.
One team, one plan and a weekly update with photos. We always knew what was happening, and the house is better than we imagined.
The Outcome
The full renovation took four months. A single project manager handled permits, trades and the schedule from the first day to the final clean.
What We Did
New open-plan ground floor
Kitchen and two bathrooms rebuilt
New staircase with oak treads
New wiring, plumbing and lighting throughout
Engineered wood flooring on every level
The family moved back into a home that feels brand new but still has the character they fell in love with.
